[AS FOUND.] AN UNPOLISHED HISTORY

AS FOUND · AN UNPOLISHED HISTORY

Vintage watches.
No hype. Unpolished.

A vintage watch does not need to be rewritten. It becomes interesting when it remains legible: proportions, material, case, dial, movement, and the traces of what has happened to it.

We look at watches before the story and before the market. Not the piece built for hype, but the example that holds form, mechanics and history together without raising its voice.

As Found is a simple criterion: keeping the object close to its state, its period, its marks. Not polishing vintage through language. Not turning it into an image. Selecting carefully, and letting the watch stand.

02 / ABOUT

About Us.

As Found grew out of the meeting of two enthusiasts and a shared sensitivity for vintage watches. The idea is simple: to look at a watch for what it really is, before what it represents, what is said about it, or what the market decides to attach to it.

We are drawn to individual watches that create a connection: through their proportions, mechanics, the way they have survived, and that particular character that rarely fits into a specification sheet.

We are not looking for the right model.
We are looking for the right example.

03 / MANIFESTO

From the brand
to the individual watch.

A perspective
The value of a watch does not stop at its name.

The way we look at vintage watches has changed, and it will keep changing. There was a time when people bought a brand. Then we learned to look for a reference. For us, the next step is the individual watch.

Two watches with the same name and reference can be very different. Proportions, mechanics, dial, materials, condition and the marks left by time all matter. But so does something less measurable: presence, balance, and the appeal that one particular watch can still convey.

This is where As Found focuses its attention. Not on the models of the moment, not on pieces pushed by the market, not on hype or trends. We look for watches that have their own reason to be interesting: aesthetics, mechanics, history, character.

Less narrative, more watch. No inflated storytelling, no aura manufactured by AI, no need to turn every piece into an icon.

No filters. No polish. Just an unpolished history
